This Math Ain't Mathin

"According to the documentary released in 2015, The True Cost, the world consumes around 80 billion new pieces of clothing every year, 400% more than the consumption twenty years ago." earth.org

How many textiles do you purchase a year? How many of those textiles did you discard after less than five years? How about less than three, or one? It’s an obvious problem this much clothing is even produced- but why do the consumers continue to demand more?

Asking yourself how YOU waste is arguably the most important part of environmental consciousness. Little by little the process of sustainable habits becomes second nature, and the feeling of irresistible need for a cheaply made $4.99 tee with a stamped smiley face will wash away when you realize the true impacts of that little top.
